WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A WOMAN TODAY?

Being a woman today means having choice, freedom, and self-expression. She can define who she is, when, and how she wants to be. Whether through charisma, skill, education, talent, or presentation, the list can be as long or as short as she chooses.

Women now have the choice to be mothers, career women, both, or pursue artistic paths—the possibilities are endless. She can move through life in her own way.

WHAT ROLE DO YOU THINK FASHION HAS IN INSPIRING WOMEN TO BE THEIR BEST SELVES?

I believe fashion is a form of expression and play. It allows her to experiment with style, identity, and mood. She has unlimited choices but, more importantly, the freedom to choose.

She may dress based on how she feels—one day embracing femininity, another prioritizing comfort. She can follow brands she loves, mix vintage with modern, play with masculine and feminine pieces, or even draw inspiration from different eras.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING AT JAG?

The amazing supportive team. We are each unique and bring different things to the table but each person is made to feel valued and heard.

WHAT DOES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY MEAN TO YOU?

International Women’s Day is a reminder for me to pause and be thankful for all the women in my life. From colleagues to family and friends - I am so lucky to have so many women who have inspired, supported, and built me up to be where I am today.

HOW CAN YOU INSPIRE OTHER WOMEN AROUND YOU?

Support and uplift each other by building a network that encourages growth and inspires others to pursue their passions.

Lead by example—wherever you are, show what’s possible by living authentically, embracing your strengths, and owning your journey.

Create a safe space for vulnerability by sharing your experiences, including both challenges and successes, as your journey might give others the courage to take the next step.

Champion equality and empowerment by standing up for women’s rights, gender equality, and equal opportunities.

Advocating for change and showing solidarity can inspire others to become change-makers in their own spaces.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A WOMAN TODAY?

There’s no one way to be a woman; it’s about embracing your individuality and the diverse roles you take on in life.

We are often juggling many hats—whether that’s in the workplace, home or social life, it’s a blend of being a friend, a partner, a mother, or an advocate. The women in my life often come together to create supportive spaces where they help one another succeed and show acceptance by embracing their true selves, no matter what that looks like. Whether it’s in fashion, career choices, or how they define beauty, women today have more freedom to express themselves in ways that feel right for them.

There is a beautiful mix of strength and vulnerability in women today, strength doesn’t mean hiding feelings or constantly being tough—it can be about owning who you are, embracing your emotions, and being authentic in all aspects of life.

THE THEME FOR THIS YEAR'S IWD IS 'MARCH FORWARD'. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?

‘March Forward’ means pushing for progress, breaking barriers, and creating a future where women are empowered and treated as equals. It’s about taking action and supporting one another.

WHAT ROLE DO YOU THINK FASHION HAS IN INSPIRING WOMEN TO BE THEIR BEST SELVES?

Fashion plays a huge role in inspiring women to be their best selves by helping them express confidence, creativity, and individuality. The right outfit can make someone feel empowered, ready to take on the world, and embrace their unique identity. It’s a form of self-expression that reflects who you are and who you aspire to be.

HOW CAN YOU INSPIRE OTHER WOMEN AROUND YOU?

I've been very fortunate to have worked in businesses with balanced leadership and executive teams or even female dominated ones during my career, knowing that this is not the norm. I had a lot of very talented strong female managers, leaders and mentors encouraging me to go for the next step, even if that at times felt uncomfortable.

I am hoping that I can now pass the same on to my JAG team and support them in their growth and to go for that next step in their careers.

WHAT DOES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY MEAN TO YOU?

IWD means empowerment and equality to me but is sadly also a reminder that gender bias is still a thing in 2025. Whilst women make up 51% of the total workforce, only 33% are in senior management roles and 19% are CEOs.

Whilst this isn’t a topic to only focus on one day per year, IWD gives us all the opportunity to create awareness.

My mum’s birthday is also on March 8th - which makes this day extra special to me.
